ROFL

I didn’t want it,
And yet it came,
I sat inside and made a friend,
Her little wheels,
Her silver paint,
The ROFL on her number plate.

All this time I’ve lived without,
Keeping off the rain,
And all this time I’ve lived without,
I coulda known your name.

I didn’t want it,
And yet it came,
And now the fields’ll fly too fast,
Cos oh this ride,
Held no surprise,
I knew exactly where I was,
And oh this road I’m,
Getting to know now,
And I’m just loving all her curves.

All this time I’ve lived without,
Keeping off the rain,
And all this time I’ve lived without,
I coulda known your name.

Oh it’ll suck him dry,
Leave a good man satisfied,
Make him leave his job,
And drive away to new pollution,
Break his money-safe,
Leave him as a straying waif,
Leave him out without,
A coat to soak the rain around him.

I didn’t want it and yet it came,
Now it’ll never be the same,
I didn’t need it and yet it showed,
And left me on this golden road.
